My name is Susan Anderson. I am a registered clinical counsellor and a certified crisis worker whose interest and practice focuses on helping people prevent suicide.
I provide counselling for families, couples, and individuals at my office, by telephone or via Skype. I facilitate group therapy for suicidal persons. I help people recover from the devasting trauma of losing a loved one to suicide. I work with suicidal persons in recovering from traumas and intense emotional pain associated with suicide ideation, planning, and attempts. I draw from the best of suicide research and know from experience that it is possible to heal from suicidal pain. |
I live in Edmonton AB, Canada. I schedule appointments with clients by Skype, telephone, email, and at my office at the Community Counselling Centre in Edmonton.

Education and Certification
I graduated with a Master of Arts Degree in Counselling and Pastoral Psychology from St. Stephen's College in Edmonton.
My Master's Thesis - The Image of God in Suicidal Persons is about the experience of suicidal persons.
I am registered as a clinical counsellor (#3219) with the BC Association of Clinical Counsellors.
Prior to receiving my Master's of Arts in Counselling degree, I earned a Bachelor's degree in Physical Education and a teaching certificate from the University of Alberta in Edmonton.
